Rene Marcotte Jr.
East Coast Aero Tech

Rene Marcotte Jr. was born into a middle class family, and resides in Uxbridge. Rene always loved watching airplanes and still remembers his first air show and his amazement of the Blue Angels performance. He knew then that he would eventually do something with aircraft. After graduating from Uxbridge High School with Honors, instead of going to college as planned, he decided to work in his family’s construction business. Rene did this for ten years, then switched jobs to a biotech company, but knew those careers were not quite what he was looking for. In June of 1999, he interviewed at East Coast Aero Tech (ECAT) and began his classes in Aviation Maintenance Technology with 60 other students, most younger than him. After having been out of school for 12 years, it was difficult getting back into studying. However, Rene went on to become a member of ECAT’s Student Council and graduated with perfect attendance and High Honors.
