Glenn Burlamachi
FINE Mortuary College

GLENN BURLAMACHI, from North Chelmsford, began his studies at FINE MORTUARY COLLEGE nervously since he had already owned and operated two businesses and was a father responsible for two beautiful young children. Taking on one more task was a formidable challenge. Yet Glenn was really motivated to make the best of his training in the Funeral Service program. He studied hard and did well but soon recognized that some of the other students were not as gifted or motivated as he. He realized that he could learn while, at the same time, he could help others by organizing student study groups. Some study groups met at the college, while others met at student’s homes or libraries. Students who previously had serious difficulties with their studies began to do better in their course work under his direction. They learned not only subject matter, but also how to study efficiently and effectively for all their courses. Glenn was a wonderful teacher, helper and role model for several struggling students. Just after finishing his courses at FINE, he took and passed the National Board Examination. Since he had previously received a bachelor’s of science degree in business management from Green Mountain College in Vermont, he was eligible to teach at FINE. We were so impressed with Glenn we offered him a position at FINE and he will begin teaching part of the Funeral Directing course in the Spring 2004 term. The college is honored to have such a talented graduate as Glenn as part of the FINE faculty.
