Roger Cross
East Coast Aero Tech
Roger Cross was born and
raised in Western MA and now resides in Attleboro with his
wife and two children. In 1991 Roger joined the U.S. Coast
Guard where he trained as a machinery technician becoming
proficient in HVAC, gas and diesel engines, hydraulics, fire
fighting and law enforcement. After 10 years of dedicated
service, Roger decided to follow his dream of working on aircraft
and became an Aviation Maintenance Technician. In order to
accomplish this career change, he enrolled at East Coast Aero
Tech (ECAT). To enhance his experience and training at ECAT,
Roger also joined the Mass. Air National Guard as another
way to expose himself to working on aircraft. Shortly thereafter,
due to the unforeseen circumstance of "9-11" Roger
was called to active military duty and required to take on
an extremely difficult schedule. Rather than take a leave
of absence, he committed to attending school full-time with
the assistance of Sallie Mae and Stafford loans, working full-time
at night for the Air National Guard and still managed to maintain
a relationship with his wife and two children. Despite the
grueling demands, Roger maintained perfect attendance and
high honors at East Coast Aero Tech. Roger's career path decisions
have afforded him the opportunity to become an outstanding,
well-rounded mechanic whose goal is to work with the FAA.
He also plans to pursue another dream of becoming a pilot.
During his precious spare time, Roger enjoys his family and
working on his personal plane. Regardless of what choices
Roger makes in the future, we are confident that he will be
winner. His attitude, work ethic and determination are the
foundation for great success.
