Courtney Snow
Barbizon School of Modeling

In February of 2000, Courtney Snow thought her life was over. Courtney's dream of becoming a cosmetologist and model seemed impossible. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, bone cancer. This disease prevents her from participating in activities because she can only walk, ride a bike and swim. Courtney can no longer run or jump around. The disease causes her tibia, a bone in her right leg, to be weak. Following surgery, she had to learn to walk all over again. The American Cancer Society provided a scholarship to Barbizon School of Modeling in Boston for Courtney. At Barbizon, Courtney proved to be an outstanding student, displaying talent and great potential in Modeling. Faithfully catching the chartered bus from Foxboro every-other week, leaving her father, sister and grandparents at home, she completed classes with flying colors! Courtney is now free of the disease and graduated in May 2002. She impressed the staff and students with her strong will and determination to succeed that she is sure to fulfill her hopes and dreams for the future.
